Christmas Day!!

I loved waking up to the smell of my dad making breakfast!! All my siblings came over Christmas morning around 10 and we went through our stockings. "Santa" gave me the cutest little ornament.

Then we all opened presents. It's so funny how as you get older, you realize how fun it is to give gifts. I love seeing people's faces when they open gifts. It's the best.

Steph and Anth gave us these adorable baby shoes. I wish they made them in my size.

Isn't it fun that my sister-in-law is pregnant too? And with a boy!! She's due about 5 weeks before I am.

We even got some snow!! It was the first time Georgia's had snow on Christmas day since 1882.

Christmas Eve

It's tradition to go to my dad's parent's house for Christmas Eve. My Oma and her sister, visiting from Germany with Patrick, made a delicious Christmas dinner. As tradition goes, we waited until it got dark, my Papa read the Christmas story from the Bible, we sang Christmas carols, and then opened presents.

Georgia Attractions

My parents, being the kind and generous people they are, took us all to the Georgia Aquarium and the World of Coke. A few years ago they remodeled the entire World of Coke attraction and this was the first time I got to see the new one. Atlanta has had it's aquarium for 5 years now and it's actually the biggest aquarium in the world!! I didn't ever get a chance to go until this week.

There were 64 different Coke products from around the world that you could sample. "Beverly" from Italy was the worst. Don't try it!

We watched a 4-D movie about the making of Coca-Cola.

There was this cool tunnel to crawl through that was under the Penguin habitat.

I'll have to post some videos later on of us petting manta rays and baby sharks. Greg also got to feed one of the rays. It was super fun.

Christmas with the Ishoy's

Sunday we had our Christmas party with my mom's side of the family. We had a gift exchange and lots of yummy food. Here are some shots from the night.

Halfway There

Well y'all, I'm officially halfway through my pregnancy. Only 20 more weeks to go and I bet they're going to go by sooooo slowly. I can't wait to have this little baby in my arms.

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving, we went to California. Our first stop was the desert. We met my family there and stayed Tuesday night and rode dirt bikes Wednesday. I had a blast. I let Karina ride on the back with me once, then I made her try it and she fell over and scraped and bruised up her legs...needless to say I didn't make her try again.

After that we spent some nice time with Greg's family, got to meet up with Uncle Derek and Aunt Trisha and their cute little kids, Ben and Crazy Ava. Over the course of the trip we also got to see Grandma and Grandpa Wertz, The Fronks, The Andersons, and spent a substantial amount of time with my best pal, John Skaggs. I didn't get to surf this trip, the waves were too small. Another fun evening we had was with Davy and Kelly (with Lucy and Chuck) and Kyle and Meagan (with Parker and Grace). Here are a couple of videos from that evening.





On our drive back to Provo, at around 6:30 pm, we saw a sign that said we were 12 miles from Cedar City (about 200 miles from Provo, so we had already driven 450 miles). It started snowing really hard and the traffic started moving at around 5 miles per hour. We called our parents to figure out what we should do, and figured out we should stop for the night. An hour after the traffic slowed down, we finally finished the 12 miles to Cedar City (what a drag!). Then we stopped at the Day's Inn, but we read on their lobby doors that there were no vacancies. There was no room at any of the inns for the pregnant lady (ring a bell?). We finally found some place that sounded cheap and vacant, so we stopped and sure enough, the America's Best Value Inn had room. We slept and in the morning the snow had stopped so we made it back to Provo.
