California Knows How to Party

We took our first road trip with Savannah a couple weeks ago. 10 hours in the car on our way to southern California. Savannah did so well! I'm so glad she loves the car or it would have been a nightmare.

She fell asleep in Grandpa's arms. She can seriously sleep through anything!

Huntington Beach! She didn't seem to totally hate the water

Sleepy Time

Savannah falls asleep everywhere and sometimes in some odd positions. Here's a few I've
documented.

Not sure what her left hand is doing

She doesn't exactly utilize the crib space. No matter where I lay her down, she finds a way to scoot herself into the corner

And her bum up in the air

And here's some more cute shots of our little girl.

Smiles!

Savannah is seriously such a happy baby. I can barely stand it. She's just so stinkin cute! I die every time I see her. I don't even know what to say except that I love her and I love being able to spend all my time with her.

She smiles all the time now

Sorry everyone, but we have the cutest baby in the world

She's still so tiny

Videos coming soon. I can't get them to upload on Blogger

Sleep Study

Savannah had her sleep study a couple weeks ago. She absolutely hated getting all those wires stuck to her. Luckily she fell asleep quickly and slept the entire night. Greg and I were able to spend the night with her too.

ALL those wires were hooked up to her

We got the results of the study back a few days ago. She had a ton of brain activity during sleep. The doctor said she averaged over 100 events per hour. The normal range is less than 1 per hour. YIKES! So now she has to be on oxygen while she sleeps. At least she doesn't have to be hooked up the entire day though. She's still sleeping well even with the cannula. I predict she'll have to be on oxygen for a couples months. The doctor in charge of her sleep study said she thinks that as Savannah grows her breathing problem will fix itself. Let's pray that that happens. I really don't want her to have to get another surgery.

Weight: a little less than 9 pounds and almost in the 2nd percentile

National Lampoon's Utah Vacation

My parent's came to visit for about a week and a half and here's what went down.

Finally got a crib (and my mom made that quilt. pretty impressive, huh?)

And Savannah was a freakin cutie!

We also went to Seven Peaks, but we forgot to take pictures. Oh well!

Savannah is so wonderful. She's starting to smile at us and talk to us. Unfortunately, she has stage fright so we can't ever catch anything on video. She's been sleeping through the night! WooHoo!! She's been at it for a few weeks now and it is oh so wonderful. It's great to get 8 hours of sleep once again. Greg and I had heard all about that stage infants go through at about 2 months where they scream and can't be soothed. Well, she's about 3 months and we're still waiting for that. I'm hoping we just bi-passed the whole thing. She weighs 8 pounds now and she's scheduled for a sleep study on Thursday. Hopefully that will reveal something about how to proceed with her breathing issues.

Baby Blessing

Luckily Savannah was released from the hospital the day before we were planning on blessing her. My parents and Greg's parents came to Utah so it would have been quite a bummer if she was still in the hospital.
